Conor Smyth is a skilled professional, motivated by making a difference to the successful delivery of challenging projects for positive impact. An accomplished technical operations/project manager with strong organisational, research, commercial, strategy planning and stakeholder engagement skills. Conor is an exponent of promoting the strategic value of digital location intelligence and innovative solutions to tackle global challenges as well as promote improved business success. He has worked internationally in the public and commercial sectors within research, transport, academia and innovation ‘start-ups’. Has applied experience in the application of Earth Observation and location technologies to deliver enterprise scale digital applications, services or infrastructures. Has undertaken substantive business development activity through sectoral & international export activities, including within the LatAm region.

Conor has provided voluntary support to professional groups (e.g. AGI & RGS) as Regional Chair and Director and currently is Final Assessor, CGeog (GIS). He has also served as a technical representative on several governmental Strategy Delivery Boards and has published in academic journals, conference proceedings, professional publications and recently, in a book on digital information strategies.
