Mappt Elements Adds Hema Integration

A new partnership between MapData Services and the Takor Group will see improved coverage for rural and outback areas to the Mappt Elements iOS app, thanks to the integration of Hema’s rich basemap.

Mappt Elements is an offline GIS app used to create, edit, store and share geospatial data with iPhone and iPad mobile devices, designed for users to be able to collect their own data and build layers on top of a rich set of basemaps.

Rural Australian users now stand to benefit from the partnership as Hema’s basemap becomes available to Mappt Elements users.

“Mappt Element’s ability to integrate with Hema Base Maps means our shared clients benefit from easier navigation, with access to the latest remote outback road and topographic data offline, to collect and gather data in the field.” said Ciaran Doyle, Product Manager of Mappt Elements. “Additionally, this opens the app up to a new type of user that may not necessarily be a typical GIS user.”

“We are committed to integrating content into other systems similar to Mappt, to expand our digital mapping products, location-based data and tailored solutions offerings for clients, and ensure they are receiving the most cutting-edge technologies,” said Brett Madsen, MapData Services General Manager.
