Fund for the City of New York Advances OGC’s Underground Pilot Project

The Open Geospatial Consortium announces that the Fund for the City of New York (FCNY) has funded OGC to develop prototype data models for underground utility networks and for the soils that surround them. The goal is to ensure that underground utility data are collected in a manner that allows information about different utilities to be integrated and used interoperably. EuroGeographics Releases New Version of EuroGlobalMap

Forty five members of the Association for the European National Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registry Authorities have contributed to a new version of EuroGlobalMap, which now includes fields for the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) within the updated transport theme, specifically links for railways (RailrdL) and road networks (RoadL).
