Cadcorp Accepted by UK Government as Supplier of GIS Services Under G-Cloud

British GIS and web mapping software developer Cadcorp, has won a place on the list of suppliers of Software as a Service (SaaS) for three hosted services, as part of the government’s G-Cloud 7 framework. The G-Cloud Programme is a cross-government initiative with the aim of introducing cloud ICT services into government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector. EuroGeographics Releases New Version of EuroGlobalMap

Forty five members of the Association for the European National Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registry Authorities have contributed to a new version of EuroGlobalMap, which now includes fields for the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) within the updated transport theme, specifically links for railways (RailrdL) and road networks (RoadL). A cloud-based cadastre-as-a-service platform in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, has gone live to overhaul the state's approach to managing cadastral data. Representing a major upgrade to the process for maintaining and updating the NSW cadastre, the new API-based system is primarily aimed at reducing duplication of data and effort by becoming the automated backbone of the development-application submission process for councils.
