Fugro Launches Subsurface Risk Platform Gaia for Construction

Geo-data firm Fugro has launched Gaia Insight, an online platform aimed at quantifying ground risk for construction projects. The platform, the first in a suite of ‘Gaia’ branded products, offers site-specific risk visualisation, which is already being utilised by hundreds of projects, within which it is analysing 12 million measurements per day. Copernicus Offers 40cm Imagery from European Space Imaging

The European Space Agency has released an updated version of the Copernicus Data Access Portfolio offering 40cm imagery from the WorldView-3, WorldView-2, and GeoEye-1 satellite missions. This is the highest resolution imagery ever offered to Copernicus users who are eligible to order rush image tasking through the service. Bluesky Funds use of Electric Vehicles to Measure Pollution

Bluesky is helping develop a mobile mapping system to measure pollution at street level. Working with the University of Leicester, the Leicestershire based aerial mapping company is helping to fund further research into air quality in one of the UK’s largest cities. Scientists armed with specially developed air quality sensors are taking to the streets in electric vehicles in order to measure the true extent of air pollution. Esri to Release Sentinel-2 Image Services for All Users

Esri, a global leader in spatial analytics, has announced that it is releasing Sentinel-2 image services to all Esri users for no additional cost. Sentinel-2 is an Earth observation satellite that provides multi-spectral imagery for any location in the world at 10m resolution.
