HoloLive3D AR App Visualizes 3D BIM on the Job Site

Along with their plugin to push BIM models from Revit directly to HoloLens, software developer VisuaLive3D has released HoloLive3D, an application that loads BIM, places them in the real world in true 1:1 scale, and allows users to perform BIM coordination, QA/QC, field validation and clash detection, even without any internet connection. The tools, systems and protocols as developed by the Spanish Directorate General for Cadastre are well accepted and widely used. A smart system of coordination between the Cadastre and the Property Rights Registry in Spain is now working and showing results. Agents working in the real estate market are now involved too. Bluesky Partners with FATMAP to Create Interactive 3D Ski Maps

Aerial mapping company Bluesky is working with FATMAP to create ultra-high resolution 3D mobile maps of the world’s major ski resorts and other popular outdoor pursuit destinations. Bluesky recently completed a pilot project for FATMAP, capturing aerial photography and generating detailed height models in order to create a highly detailed 3D map of the Big Sky Ski Resort in Montana, USA. Linked Open Data Tools Bring Victory for Space App Camp

The European Space Agency (ESA) Space App Camp 2017 – the event where coding meets big data from space – awarded on 18 September in Frascati, Italy, ESA’s centre for EO, the winning team: Limoncello and their app AiR that uses satellite imagery to give flight travellers an interactive, bird’s-eye view of their routes. Mapbox has announced it will integrate its Vision SDK with Microsoft Azure IoT platform, enabling developers to build innovative applications and solutions for smart cities, the automotive industry, public safety and more. The Mapbox Vision SDK provides augmented reality (AR) navigation, driver alerts for speed limits, pedestrians, vehicles and other event-based triggers for responsive apps.
