Digital Map Products Appoints New CEO and New VP of Operations

Digital Map Products (DMP) (CA, USA), a developer of Web-served mapping applications, has announced it has augmented its executive team with the addition of a new chief executive officer and a vice president of operations. Walt Stender has joined DMP as CEO, and Steve Riggins joins the company as VP of operations.

Prior to DMP, Stender held senior executive and management roles at amongst others Hughes Electronics, ITT Corp. and FEI, a nanotech company. Most recently, he served in CEO roles for a VoIP startup company and a consumer products company. Stender has extensive international experience with profit and loss responsibility for operations in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has managed acquisitions both internationally and domestically. Stender received his MBA from Pepperdine University, and his BSIE from West Virginia University.

Before joining DMP, Riggins held a variety of management positions in operations and engineering. Most recently, Riggins served as general manager for Composite Manufacturing Inc., vice president of manufacturing for Comm Con Connectors and was founder and chief operating officer for Interactive Digital Sports. Riggins also held senior management positions with ITT Cannon, where he devised and managed the restructure and consolidation of a US$ 120 million international business. Riggins received his BSEE from the United States Air Force Academy (CO, USA).
