GeoWeb 2006 Call for Papers Issued

The Call for Papers for GeoWeb 2006 (formerly GML Days) was issued 30 January. The conference is set for 24-28 July 2006, at the Morris J. Wosk Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.


GeoWeb 2006 is an outgrowth of the GML Days and GML and Geo-Spatial Web Services Conference held from 2001 to 2005. The new GeoWeb conference will be larger and more inclusive and will include keynote speakers, panel sessions, product demonstrations, workshops and educational sessions.


Conference papers will be organised around markup, Web services, service-oriented architecture and business and policy issues that arise in the GeoWeb context and their relationship to key market and technical themes. Those themes include nautical and aeronautical information systems, defence and homeland security, consumer and commercial services, municipal information systems and global spatial data infrastructure, disaster management and environmental systems and technology centric.


Prospective speakers should submit abstracts no longer than 200 words and include the presentation title, the name of the presenter or presenters, the presenting organisation and their preferred theme.
