New Version 3D Machine Control System for Concrete Pavers & Trimmers

Leica Geosystems (Switserland) has launched a new version of its 3D machine control system for concrete pavers and fine-grade trimmers. LMGS-S v4 is built to operate in the harshest environments, and cope with the toughest paving tasks.

LMGS-S interfaces directly to the world’s most popular concrete paving and fine-grade trimming machines, and fully automates steer and height control, meaning contractors no longer have to set up stringline. Combining a user interface, CAN-bus architecture and Leica’s total stations, LMGS-S is ready for use on all GOMACO machines and selected WIRTGEN concrete pavers.

The LMGS-v4 does not require hydraulic installations and no lengthy installation and tuning period, but is based upon a ‘plug and pave’ technology. A ruggedised machine computer, with touchscreen display and USB data transfer, provides on-machine operator information. Coupled with Leica’s class-leading ‘X-function’ System 1200 total stations, LMGS-S v4 is easy for concrete paving crews to master.
