TeliaSonera Deploys ArcIMS
ESRI Sweden has deployed the ArcIMS Open Location Services (OpenLS) connector as part of a project to improve TeliaSonera mapping engine capabilities for location-based services across Scandinavia. Together with Tele Atlas data, TeliaSonera now provides one standardised interface for all of its third-party application developers. After the Telia and Sonera merger in 2002, TeliaSonera initiated a Nordic-wide project to standardise the disparate systems upon one common geospatial server platform.
